How To Tweet Automatically When You Go Live On Twitch

Setting up the applet #

1. Firstly, if you haven’t already, sign in or create an account with Stream Hydra – It’s Free!

2. Next, head over to the modules page to enable Twitch and Twitter

3. We are now ready to create an applet! Click on “Applets” on the left hand side and click “New Applet”

4. In the applet editor, we need to find the 2 nodes that we will connect together. Scroll down or search for “On Stream Start” in the Twitch section and “Send Tweet” in the Twitter section. Drag these onto the editor and connect them together.

5. Now double click on the “Send Tweet” node to edit, and type in a custom message that you want to tweet. Once you have done this, all that’s left is to “Save”, “Close”, and “Enable” and you’re good to go!

Note #

Twitter will not let you tweet the same message twice in a row within a short space of time and will throw back an error. To get around this, try passing in your Twitch Stream Title into the twitter message so that your tweets will always be different.
